A modern
veterinary practice has to
generate sufficient income to invest in equipment and training as well as
covering running costs and salaries. Our chargess are calculated, we feel,
to be fair to you and to ourselves.
Normally all treatment should be paid for as you leave the surgery, or at
the end of a course of treatment.
As the cost of investigations and treatment can be considerable, we are alwasy
willing to discuss the likely cost of what we plan to do. Do not be reluctant
to ask fo an estimate, and to talk through treatment options with the vet.
Illness
or an accident
to your pet can prove expensive, and often happens when you are least prepared
financially to cope with it. We strongly recommend that you take out pet insurance
to cover you against this risk.
All puppies and kittens are offered a month's free insurance when they first
visit the surgery. We also give out leaflets from some insurance companies
we find reliable and fair in their dealings with clients. Insurance takes
a lot of the worry out of pet illness. It means that we concentrate on the
best of care rather that the cost of care.
